How to get there
The nearest airport is located in Calgary, which is a 1.5h drive from the venue. A rental car will be the easiest way to get here, though shuttle busses from both Calgary International Airport as well as downtown Calgary are available as well starting from as little as $10 (see here).
If you are travelling by car, you will need to purchase a park pass for the duration of your stay in Banff National Park. These are available online and at the park gates (daily passes from $10).
Where to stay
In Banff, we recommend you stay at Buffalo Mountain Lodge, the venue of the reception. The hotel has offered us significant discounts for all guests staying the night of and the days around the wedding. The special rates are as follows (per night and room, excl. GST):
Lodge Queen: $159
Lodge King: $179
Premier Queen: $199
Premier King: $219
Buffalo Suite: $239
To receive these rates, call 1.800.661.1367 or email info@crmr.com and quote "Ferguson - Gehlen Wedding" with your reservation request.
There are a number of other options around Tunnel Mountain, including hotels, hostels and a camping ground. We do not recommend staying in downtown Banff as you will require transportation up to the venue. Make sure to book early to avoid disappointment during this peak time.

What to do
The Canadian Rockies. Jewels in the crown of Canada's natural wonders, with views guaranteed to make your heart flutter. Nestled in the foothills, Calgary mixes nationally acclaimed attractions and restaurants with cowboy hospitality. And don't miss out on the booming local brewery scene. Nearby, Kananaskis Country and Banff National Park offer hiking trails for all abilities. We promise the views are worth the altitude. More inclined to retail therapy? Spend your time poking around the towns of Canmore and Banff. Pro tip: search out a chocolate bear paw for your midday pick-me-up.
